Douglas of Drumlanrig Laphroaig 17 is aged for 17 years and sourced from the Laphroaig Distillery (though we have opted to list Douglas Laine & Company as the producer to better reflect their eye for selection, despite the fact this is not a blended scotch). Laphroaig is an Islay distillery owned by Beam. The 2011 Wine Enthusiast review gushed that this was an Islay alternative that "won't blow out your palate with smoke"; they recommended a pairing with oysters and shellfish.
