Heaven Hill Distillery has announced the 2016 limited edition release of Parker’s Heritage Collection – a 24-year-old, Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon. The uniqueness of this bottling lies not only in its age, but also in its Bottled-in-Bond designation. Bottled-in-Bond bourbons have experienced renewed interest by consumers because of the long and storied history behind such a designation dating way back to the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897.
Heaven Hill, among its various lines, has a special extra affinity for the Parker’s Heritage Collection. This annual release, now in its tenth year, is named in honor of Parker Beam, the distillery’s Master Distiller Emeritus. He has suffered now from ALS for a number of years, so the Heritage offerings go towards raising money for research and patient care for this disease. The 2016 edition looks to be one which will likely go fast and raise good funds for this endeavor, as it is a 24-year-old, bottled-in-bond bourbon.
