Weingut Durnberg is located in the traditional wine village of Falkenstein, which also happens to be the historical heart of the Weinviertel. Wine-growing has been documented here since the 12th century. And between the 13th and 17th centuries, all wine-growing business affairs between Vienna and Brno were administered by Falkenstein. Today, the wines reflect a wine culture built on both the old and the new with their unique aromatics and deep spice. The cool character of the white wines, with their vital acidity structure, is the result of an exceptional terroir. Thanks to excellent soils and a highly favourable climate, the grapes reach an ideal level of ripeness and develop vibrant aromas and flavours. Red wines from the Weingut Durnberg vineyards in Falkenstein are distinguished by their power and fruitiness. What the terroir gives to the grapes is carefully and most lovingly preserved and presented - thanks to the vinification that nurtures a vital kind of Weinviertel wine, and to the creation of wines that unite the traditional and the modern in a refined, sophisticated way. For example, there is the white-pressed Blanc de Noirs and the characterful Kirchberg.
