The House of Champagne Delamotte is the fifth-oldest Champagne house in the region, founded in 1760 and located in the heart of the Côte des Blancs in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Sister house and contiguous to the House of Champagne Salon, Delamotte produces no more than 50,000 cases annually, ensuring that the vineyards of Delamotte dominate the expression of its wines, defining the house’s elegant, mineral style. Through hard work in the vineyards and long aging in the cellars, the House of Champagne Delamotte has come to be recognized as one of the leading Champagne producers in the Cote des Blancs.

| Villages: Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize and Oger. The Pinot Noir is sourced from vineyards on the side of the Marne river in Bouzy, Tours-sur-Marne and Ambonnay. The small percentage of Pinot Meunier that is blended in is from Vallee de la Marne. A minimum of three years on the lees prior to release (the legal minimum for Brut Champagne is only 15 months). |

| Delamotte is a Champagne house more than 250 years old (it is the fifth oldest Champagne house) founded in Reims in 1760 by Francois Delamotte, a vineyard owner. Ownership of the house passed through the Delamotte family then to the Lanson family and finally was bought, along with sister house Champagne Salon, by the Laurent-Perrier group. The houses have been under the direction of Didier Depond in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger since 1988. A man of passion and compassion, he is continually developing the outstanding image of these two exceptional wines. The aesthetic, rigorous endeavour to always work better is a long lasting ideal of the House. One of the founding principles of the House of Delamotte (and of its sister company, Salon) is that Champagne is first and foremost a wine to be enjoyed and appreciated for its quality and authenticity. The wine should be - from the very start - subtle, profound, rich with the aromas and flavours which ultimately create outstanding Champagne. |
