The estate of GD Vajra, established in 1972 is situated in Vergne, the highest village in the Commune of Barolo. Its vineyards are planted with Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera at heights of 350-400 meters, which results in distinctive and aromatic wines. Their philosophy remains faithful to the traditional and authentic wines of Piemonte. ?I try to make wines that give people joy. In the past wine was a food, it was necessary for sustenance. Today that is not the case; we choose to drink for pleasure. I want to make wines that bring people happiness. ? ~ Aldo Vajra The vines for this wine are located in two exceptional vineyards - Bricco delle Viole in Barolo and Bric Bertone in Sinio. The hand-picked and hand-sorted fruit was fermented and macerated in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for 20 days with manual punch down. Aged 20-24 months in Slavonian oak casks.

| The estate of G. D. Vajra, situated in Vergne the highest village in the Commune of Barolo, was established in 1972 by Giuseppe Domenico. Milena and Aldo Vaira are the current owners. Both have worked the vineyards since the early 1970s. Vajra currently owns 40 sustainably farmed hectares in such strategic spots as Bricco delle Viole, Fossati, La Volta, Coste di Vergne. The vineyards are planted with Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera at elevations between 350-400 meters, which results in distinctive and aromatic wines.
